About Me

I'm an overeducated middle-class American woman in the brave new age of technology.

I am 40 years old, a longtime resident of New England, and am currently celebrating (?) my twelfth year in the classroom as a secondary social studies and English teacher. In my somewhat peripatetic past, I have been a secretary, nonprofit administrative peon, lifeguard, sales clerk, and graduate student. Needless to say, I am not hugely motivated by the profit factor. I live with my extremely patient husband, my one year old, and my outgoing daughter in a house we share with a cat who find us somewhat perplexing. I am an introvert who watches too many Netflix and takes the New York Times way too seriously.
